If you’re just starting your journey into makeup and beauty products, it can be a little overwhelming. There are so many different products out there, it can be difficult to figure out which ones are right for you.
If you’re not sure where to start, I have 2 very basic tips to help you when buying makeup and beauty products.
1. Know your Skin Type
Before spending money on beauty products that might not work for you, you’ll want to find out what your skin type is. Do you have oily skin, dry skin, normal, or combination skin? Are you acne prone (tend to break out easy) or do you have sensitive skin.
Why is this important? There are certain products that are make specifically for a certain skin type. For example, there are products made for oily skin. If you use the products and have dry skin, it could make your skin even more dry and cause issue for you. Knowing your skin type will help you to select the products that will work best for you.
2. Know your Skin Tone
Have you ever met someone and immediately noticed that their face is much darker than their neck and they looked like they were wearing a mask? Or maybe you’ve seen the opposite where their face is so pale, they look ghostly? It’s not always easy to find the perfect shade of makeup for your skin tone, but there are solutions that can help.
Why is this important? The right makeup shades can enhance your complexion and make you look radiant and refreshed.
