User’s Guide

Here overview for each of the different sections in the app:

Products:

Here is an overview of what you can do on the Products Screen:

  • Add Products: To add a new product select the “+” button (top right). When adding a new product, you have the option to add as much or as little information about your product as you want. The only required field is the product name.
  • Search Products: Select the “Search” button (magnifying glass icon) located at the top right side. You can search all the products you have entered in the app. When the search results show a product from your Shopping List, there will be a small note pad on the right side of the screen, near the photo. If the product is from your Product Archive, a small box will show. Products in the Don’t Buy List will include a red x on right side of the entry
  • Archive & Don’t Buy List: Select the ‘menu’ button (bottom left) to view products you added to the Product Archive and Don’t Buy List
  • Favorite Products: Select the ‘heart’ button (bottom left) to see products that you added to your Favorites List.
  • Expired Products: View a list of all your products that are expired (based on the expiration date you entered when you added the product). It does not include products in the Product Archive or Don’t Buy List. To view all products that are expired, go the Statistics section and tap on the Expired Products row
  • Product Photos: You can view your Product and Swatch photos by tapping the ‘photos’ button (bottom middle). This section includes photos of all the products you added to your “Products” list sorted by Product Type. Photos for products in your Shopping List and Product Archive are not included.
  • Sort Products: Sort your product by Brand, Color, Category, Color Family, Name, or Product Type. To view all products assigned to a particular Brand, Category, Color Family, etc, you can either go to the Lists section and select the Brand, Category, etc. Or go to the Statistics Section and scroll to the bottom and select Brands, Categories, etc. **To set a Sort Default for this section, go the Options Section.

Product Details: This screen shows you details about your product. Tap the photo to view a larger version of your product photo. To edit your product details, tap the “Edit” button (top right). Toolbar: there are a number of options available in the toolbar.

  • Menu Button: When you select the ‘menu’ button (bottom right), you will be given the following options (some of these options are only available with the Premium Membership Subscription):
    • Add to Shopping List: This will add a copy of the Product to your Shopping List
    • Create Duplicate Product: If you have similar products, but they have a different color, you can duplicate the product instead of having to add it again
    • Move to Accessory List: The Accessory List is new to this version, so if you have Makeup Brushes or Tools and want to add them to the Accessory List, this is an easy way to do it. Keep in mind that certain information will not be transferred.
    • Move to Don’t Buy List: Move products to this list that you didn’t like, but still want to keep a record of them.
    • Move to Product Archive: Move products you no longer use or ones you don’t want on your main Product list to the archive.
    • Share with Friends: Share you product details, including a photo with friends.
  • Heart Button: Tap the ‘heart’ button (bottom middle) to add the Products to your Favorites List
  • Makeup Case: Tap the “makeup case” button (bottom middle) to add the Product to your Travel List
  • Trash Button: Tap the ‘trash’ button (bottom left) to Delete the Product

Save a Copy of your Photos: You have the option to save a copy of your photo to your Photo Library. There are two ways to do this:

  • Option 1: on the “Add Products” screen, after taking a photo, you will be given the option to “Save Copy to Photo Library”.
  • Option 2: select one of your Products, once you are on the Product Details screen, select the “Edit” button (top right), then tap the image, you will be given the option to “Save Copy to Photo Library”

Accessories

The Accessories section is very similar in how you add and edit products. The biggest difference is that you can only enter on Purchase Record for each Accessory.

Here is an overview of what you can do on the Accessories Screen:

  • Add Accessory: To add a new accessory select the “+” button (top right). When adding a new accessory, you have the option to add as much or as little information as you want. The only required field is the name
  • Search Accessories: Select the “Search” button (magnifying glass icon) located at the top right side.
  • Favorite Accessories: Select the ‘heart’ button (bottom left) to see accessories that you added to your Favorites List.
  • Accessory Photos: You can view photos of the accessories you added.
  • Sort Accessories: Sort your product by Brand, Category, Location, Name, Type. To view all products assigned to a particular Brand, Category, Color Family, etc, you can either go to the Lists section and select the Brand, Category, etc. Or go to the Statistics Section and scroll to the bottom and select Brands, Categories, etc. **To set a Sort Default for this section, go the Options Section.

Accessory Details: This screen shows you details about your accessory. Tap the photo to view a larger version of your accessory photo. To edit your accessory details, tap the “Edit” button (top right). From the Toolbar button at the bottom of the screen, you can do the following:

  • Menu button (bottom right): select the menu button to add a Duplicate Accessory or Share your accessory details with friends.
  • Makeup case (bottom middle): tap the makeup case button to add the accessory to your Travel List.
  • Heart Button (bottom middle): tap the heart button to add the accessory to your Favorites List.
  • Trash button (bottom left): tap the trash button to delete the accessory

Samples

The Samples section is very similar to the others. Here is an overview of what you can do on the Samples Screen:

  • Add Sample: To add a new sample select the “+” button (top right). When adding a new sample, you have the option to add as much or as little information as you want. The only required field is the name.
  • Sort Samples: Sort you Samples by Brand, Category, Opened Date, Store, Type, and Name.

Sample Details: This screen shows you details about your sample. Tap the photo to view a larger version of your sample photo. To edit your sample details, tap the “Edit” button (top right). From the Toolbar button at the bottom of the screen, you can do the following:

  • Menu button (bottom right): select the menu button to add the Sample’s Product information to the Shopping List.
  • Heart Button (bottom middle): tap the heart button to add the sample to your Favorites List.
  • Trash button (bottom left): tap the trash button to delete the sample

Beauty Routines:

Lists all the products you have assigned to a Beauty Routine. To add a Beauty Routine, tap the “+” button (top right). To add products or accessories to a Beauty Routine, select the Beauty Routine you want to add products to.

Here are the options available on the Routine Details Screen:

  • Edit Beauty Routine: Tap the “Edit” button (top right) to edit the name of the Beauty Routine.
  • Delete Beauty Routine: Tap the “Trash” button (bottom left) to delete the Beauty Routine. If you have products assigned to the Beauty Routine, it will not delete them, it will only delete the name of the Beauty Routine.
  • Add Products or Accessories: Tap the ‘+’ button (bottom middle).
  • Sort Routine: To sort products or accessories in your Beauty Routine, tap the ‘sort’ button (bottom right).
  • **Delete Products: To delete products or accessories from your Routines, you can either, tap the “+” button (bottom middle) and deselect the product or accessory you want to remove. Or you can Swipe Left on the product or accessory you want to delete

Looks:

Use the Looks section to keep track of the Looks you create, including the photo, date, and products and accessories you used to create the look.

Here is an overview of what you can do on the Looks Screen:

  • Add Look: To add a new look select the “+” button (top right). When adding a look, you will need to add a photo and name before you can save the look or add product to it.
  • Favorite Looks: Select the ‘heart’ button (bottom left) to see looks that you added to your Favorites List.
  • Sort Looks: Sort your looks by Name, Occasion or Date. **To set a Sort Default for this section, go the Options Section.

Look Details Screen:

  • Edit Look: Tap the “Edit” button (top right) to edit the name of the Look.
  • Delete Look: Tap the “Trash” button (bottom left) to delete the Look. If you have products or accessories assigned to the Look, they will not be deleted. only the Look will be deleted.
  • Notes: Add notes to the Look by tapping the “compose” button (bottom left).
  • Heart button: Tap the ‘heart’ button (bottom middle) to add this Look to your Favorites List.
  • Add Products or Accessories: Tap the ‘+’ button (bottom right). You are then given a choice to Select From Products or Add New Product.
  • Sort Look: To sort products or accessories, tap the ‘sort’ button (bottom right).
  • **Delete Products or Accessories: To delete products or accessories, you can either, tap the “+” button (bottom right) and deselect the product or accessory you want to remove. Or you can Swipe Left on the product or accessory you want to delete

Travel List:

Use the Travel List to keep track of products and accessories you want to take with you when traveling, or ones you carry with you daily.

Here is an overview of the Travel Screen:

  • Add Products and Accessories by tapping the “+” button (top right)
  • Sort Products and Accessories by tapping the “sort” button (bottom right). You can sort the list by Brand, Category, and Product Type. *To set a Sort Default for this section, go the Options Section.

Shopping List:

Includes products and accessories you added to your Shopping List. Here is an overview of the Shopping List Screen:

  • Add Products: Add a product by tapping the ‘+’ button (top right). When adding a product to your Shopping List, you have two options, (1) to add a new product or (2) add an existing product (you can select products from your Beauty Products list and those in the Product Archive). To add a product, select the “+” button (top right) then select the option you want. Products you add to the Shopping List will not appear on your “Products” list or in your “Product Photos”.
  • Coupons & GWPs: tap the ‘coupon’ button (bottom left) to access your Coupons and GWPs.

    Use this section to keep track of your Coupons & GWPs. To add a new Coupon or GWP, select the “+” button (top right). When adding a new Coupon or GWP, you will need to select a Store, and complete either the Coupon Code field or the Code Details section. All other fields are optional.

    • Email Coupon & GWP Details: Tap the ‘menu’ button (bottom right) to share your coupon or GWP with friends.
    • Delete Coupons by tapping the ‘trash’ button (bottom left)

Product Details: This screen shows you details about your product. Tap the photo to view a larger version of your product photo. To edit your product details, tap the “Edit” button (top right). Here are the options available on the Product Details Screen:

  • Menu button (bottom right): when you select the menu button, you can:
    • Move the Product to your Products List: If you originally added the product to your Shopping List from the Product Details screen, it will remember and ask you if you want to add the Purchase Details to the Existing Product or Create a New Product. If you added the product by hand, you will only have the option to add it as a new Product.
    • Share with Friend: share your product details with friends.
  • Trash button (bottom left): tap the trash button to delete the accessory

Purchases:

The Purchases section will show you the purchase information for your Products and Accessories.

In order for a product to show up in each section, you will need to make sure you have completed the Purchase Details section when you add your product or accessory.

When you tap on a product, it will take you to the Purchase Details for the Product. If you want to view product info, tap the View Product Details row at the bottom of the screen.

Sort: you can sort the Purchase Report by Store, Brand, Month, or Year.

Statistics:

The Statistics section includes more detailed information on your products – here is an overview:

  • ALL PRODUCTS SECTION: this includes all products in the following lists: Products, Don’t Buy List, Product Archive. It excludes products on the Shopping List.
    • Total Products (Quantity): this shows the total number of products purchased. This number is calculated from the Quantity field.
    • # of Products Added: this is the number of products you added to the app.
    • Amount Spent: this is the total amount spent for all the products you added to the app.
  • PRODUCT LISTS: Shows the Products you added to your Product List, Don’t Buy List, and Product Archive.
  • STATUS (All Product Lists): this shows the number of Opened Products, UnOpened Products, Empty Products and Expired Products. These numbers include products from all the lists: Products, Don’t Buy List, Product Archive. If you notice the rows have a right arrow. When you tap on a row, it will show you a listing of the products associated with that row.
  • ACCESSORIES: this section shows you the Total Accessories (Quantity), # of accessories, and the amount spent.
  • SAMPLES: this section will show you the Total Samples (Quantity), and # of Samples you added to the app.
  • SHOPPING LIST: this section will show you the number of products and accessories you added to the app.
  • COUPONS & GWPs: this section will show you how many coupons and GWPs you add
    ed to the app.
  • LISTS: this section will show you how many products, accessories, and samples you added to each of the Lists. If you notice each row has a right arrow. If you tap the row, it will show you a list of the items associated with that list. Tap one of the items, and you can view a list of the products, accessories and samples assigned to it.

Lists:

This section shows all the lists, including the list of Brands, Categories, Color Family, Location, Product Types, Stores, and Tags. When you select one of these items, you are taken to a screen that lists them.

For example, when you tap Brands, you are taken to a screen that shows all your Brands. To the right of the Brand name is a number – that is how many products, accessories, and samples are assigned to that brand.

  • ADD Items by tapping the ‘+’ button (top right)
  • EDIT or DELETE items by tapping the pink ‘i’ on the right side. You will be taken to the details screen for that brand where you can tap the ‘Edit’ button (top right to edit the details, or delete it by tapping the ‘trash’ button (bottom left)

When you tap the row, you will be taken to a screen that shows all the products, accessories, and samples assigned to that brand.

Options:

Here is an overview of what is available in the Options section.

  • Sort Default: set a sort default for Products, Accessories, Looks, Shopping List, and Travel List.
  • Security: set a passcode for the app.
  • Export Data: You can export your data (excluding photos) for your Products, Accessories, Samples and Shopping List.

Support:

Here is an overview of what is available in the Options section.

  • Help: Access the User’s Guide, Instructions for Backing up Data, Email Developer (Premium Members can get Priority Support)
  • Stay in Touch: Premium Members can join the email list to stay informed of updates, submit feature requests, vote on new features being added to the app, and more.
  • Subscription: View details on the Premium Membership Subscription.
  • About: get the version number, access the Privacy Policy and Terms of use for the app, and view licenses

Backup Data

There are a number of ways you can backup/save a copy of your data (iTunes, iCloud, iTunes File Sharing, CSV File). I have included more information on the Instructions for Backing Data page
